Greco, brand from Kanda Shokai, has probably the largest variety of
violin basses. Early models
were made at the Matsumoku plant, in the 60's mostly self designed
models. In the early 70's they switched to FujiGen and
concentrated on copying other brands, amongst others Höfner. Until the
present time there had always been a violin bass model in the
portfolio of Greco. In 1967 three different violin basses were to find in the Greco catalogue, the 970 type had trapezoid pickups and a charactristical headstock. |
